One of our favorite and perhaps lesser heralded regions of France, the Loire is home to cool weather Sauvignon Blancs, Chenin Blancs, Cabernet Francs, and Pinot Noirs that take advantage of the moderating influence of the Loire River running east and west in central France. From Nantes on the coast to all the way inland to Orleans, The Loire offers a diversity of terroir unmatched by most other wine regions. The diversity in climate and varietals is an oenophile's dream.
