Sparkling Wines of France
One of our favorites every year is to showcase sparkling wines from many regions. This time around, we will focus on the ‘Grand Dame’ of Sparkling, the Champagne region of France, and several of the lesser-known regions in France (for sparkling wine). Sparkling wine from outside of the Champagne region in France is known as Crémant. The Loire, Alsace, Burgundy, and several other regions all produce excellent sparkling wines at more attractive price points than Champagne. Can anyone say ‘Caviar’?
